It's where future innovators learn that teamwork, grit, and STEM skills can help them build a future, not just a machine. The real breakthrough isn't the bot, it's what's born in the students.
FIRST Robotics
Bishop Alemany High School is a Catholic college preparatory school located in Mission Hills, California, founded in 1947 as St. Ferdinand High School before being renamed in honor of Joseph Sadoc Alemany, the first Archbishop of San Francisco. Today, Alemany is the largest school in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, proud of a diverse and spirited community dedicated to academic excellence and service to others

Team 2659, the RoboWarriors, was founded in 2008 at Bishop Alemany High School in Mission Hills, California, taking their name from the school's "Warriors" mascot. Since then, the team has competed in 18 seasons across 36 events, earning 6 event wins and 17 awards along the way. That success has carried them to the FIRST Championship six times, a strong showing for a program their size.
The RoboWarriors

Team 2659's mentors are the adult volunteers, engineers, machinists, programmers, and business professionals from the community who work alongside RoboWarriors students to aid in the team and robot’s success. They guide students through CAD design in Onshape, machining and fabrication in the shop, programming, and competition strategy while modeling the safety habits and professionalism students will carry into their careers. In the end, a RoboWarriors mentor's real job isn't building the robot, it's building the students who build it.
Team 2659's students are the heart of the RoboWarriors, a diverse group of Bishop Alemany students who take on real engineering, design, and business challenges each season, from CAD modeling in Onshape to machining parts on the lathe to writing the code that drives the robot. Students choose a sub-team based on their interests and take ownership of that piece of the robot from brainstorming through competition. More than robot builders, RoboWarriors students become problem-solvers, leaders, and mentors themselves to the next generation of teammates.

Students get the opportunity to bring their designs to life in the school's state-of-the-art Haas Advanced Manufacturing Center, outfitted with the latest CNC machines and manufacturing technology available to a high school program

GitHub is where the team stores, tracks, and collaborates on the robot's code, letting multiple programmers work on the same project without overwriting each other's changes. Onshape is where the team designs the robot in 3D, letting mechanical members build and iterate on parts collaboratively from any computer without needing installed software.
